In these terms, "RemoteWombat", "we" and "us" refer to the operator; "you" is any visitor; the "website" is remotewombat.com; an "employer" is the business that offers a role; and a "listing" is that role's description on remotewombat.com.
No. RemoteWombat advertises roles and introduces applicants to the employers who offer them. Hiring, contracts, supervision, work arrangements and pay are decided by the employer. Applying does not create employment with RemoteWombat or guarantee an offer.
Each listing on remotewombat.com describes duties, working arrangements, engagement type, eligibility and conditions; read it all before applying. Roles may close or change, and RemoteWombat updates or removes listings once told. Report mistakes to careers@remotewombat.com, mentioning the role.
Give accurate information about yourself, and only apply for someone else if they asked you to and agree. Meet the role's eligibility and right-to-work requirements. Complete the form, then send RemoteWombat HR the WhatsApp message, which only goes once you press Send. If you cannot use WhatsApp, email careers@remotewombat.com. The employer may ask more questions or hold an interview before any offer.
RemoteWombat does not charge applicants at any point: there is no application, placement, admin or training charge and no deposit. RemoteWombat is paid by the businesses that advertise. Nobody from RemoteWombat will ask you to purchase crypto, add credit to an account, pay to access work or send money to receive wages. Please report any such request involving a RemoteWombat role to careers@remotewombat.com.
Pay is set by the employer and applies only to that role and its conditions. A range does not mean you will receive the highest figure. Before accepting, ask the employer to confirm in writing its legal name, your duties and engagement type, the rate or how pay is calculated, expected hours or workload, and when you will be paid. RemoteWombat does not guarantee work, a minimum workload or income.
RemoteWombat is responsible for its own statements and advertising. Employers are responsible for what they tell RemoteWombat and for their duties as employers. If RemoteWombat's ads and remotewombat.com disagree on something important, RemoteWombat will check and correct whichever is wrong. A general disclaimer does not cancel a specific statement or your legal rights.
The RemoteWombat Privacy Policy explains how applications are handled. Information kept by WhatsApp or employers is covered by their own policies.
You must not impersonate anyone, submit false applications, use another person's details without permission, share harmful material or interfere with remotewombat.com.
Pages on remotewombat.com may be viewed and kept for personal job-seeking. Any other use requires permission. Images used by RemoteWombat are licensed stock photos, not pictures of actual applicants or employers.
Links and buttons on remotewombat.com open third-party apps such as WhatsApp and email, which RemoteWombat does not control.
RemoteWombat does not promise uninterrupted access to remotewombat.com or that a listing will remain open during your application, and may alter or suspend the site without warning.
No. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights, guarantees or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
Apart from those non-excludable rights, RemoteWombat is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss connected with remotewombat.com. Liability for fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be limited, is not affected.
Typos and technical errors can happen, and RemoteWombat corrects them once aware.
You are responsible for loss that reasonably results, for example from applying with someone else's details without consent, except where RemoteWombat caused it.
Delays or failures caused by matters outside RemoteWombat's reasonable control, including hosting or messaging service outages, are not RemoteWombat's responsibility.
Roles advertised by RemoteWombat are for adults living in Australia who have the right to work here. Some employers set extra requirements, which appear in the listing or are explained by RemoteWombat HR before an introduction. RemoteWombat may decline to pass on an application that clearly does not meet a role's stated requirements, and will tell you why if you ask.
Where a role comes with online training, it is supplied by the employer or organised by RemoteWombat and costs applicants nothing. The training explains how the work is done; finishing it is not a promise of engagement, and responsibility for the work itself stays with the employer.
Linking to the remotewombat.com home page is fine, provided the link does not imply a relationship with or endorsement by RemoteWombat. RemoteWombat has no control over external sites linking in or linked out, and is not responsible for them. Please tell RemoteWombat at careers@remotewombat.com about any link that misdescribes RemoteWombat or its roles so it can act on it.
RemoteWombat requires employers to list roles truthfully, comply with Australian employment law, provide written terms before work starts and never request payment from applicants. Listings or employers that fall short can be removed by RemoteWombat; send any concern to careers@remotewombat.com.
Any invalid part is severed and the remainder continues. A delay by RemoteWombat in enforcing a term is not a waiver.
